Course Level Assessment

Assessment of student learning outcomes is performed at the course level.  Every faculty member, full-time and part-time, is required to develop a syllabus for each course taught.  These syllabi should be placed on file in the WVSCT Administrative Office and given to each student in class within the first week of the semester.  It is requested that each syllabus includes the following assessment related information:

�         course learning outcomes

�         related general education learning outcomes

�         assessment methodology

Course Assessment is responsibility of each faculty/instructors. Course learning outcomes and assessment results can be recorded in a provided Course Assessment Matrix or any other suitable form. Programs should determine the schedule or frequency of assessing particular courses.  Course Assessment results should be also integrated into the program assessment matrix and reported in the Annual assessment report if the results cause changes or recommendations at the program level.
